Whether you're a total beginner or an experienced crafter, this kit provides the essential tools used by professional tufters worldwide.

Professional Tufting Gun: The 2024 AK-V (AK-5) — an ultra-quiet, low-vibration tufting machine ideal for beginners and advanced artists.
Threaders: A 3-pack of threaders to easily guide yarn into your machine.
Tufting Frame:
- Standard U.S. stock kit: 1 yd × 1 yd (90 × 90 cm) oak tabletop frame.
- Factory Direct kit: 1 yd × 1 yd (90 × 90 cm) aluminium frame suitable for tabletop use.
Tufting Fabric: 1.1 yd × 2.2 yd (100 × 200 cm) of durable tufting cloth with a double warp and weft — 70% polyester, 30% cotton.
Secondary Rug Backing: 1.1 yd × 2.2 yd (100 × 200 cm) of thick, non-slip backing fabric for a professional, durable rug finish.
Cotton Rug Binding: Approximately 11 yd (10 m) of cotton twill binding to protect the most fragile part of your rug — the edges. Essential for floor rugs.
Carving Tool: Includes the popular Rosewood Carver with a manual screw-on guide.
Prefer a faster setup? We also offer the EasyClip Carving Guide, which does not require screwing and unscrewing your carver.

The Monopoly Rug

YouTube star Jazza and Chrystal Christie of Red Back Rugs collaborated to create an epic 3m x 3m Monopoly rug, featuring houses, hotels, cards, and money. This impressive rug and game have been generously donated to a local library, where kids can enjoy playing life-sized games of Monopoly!

We at All Things EFFY were fortunate to contribute all the supplies needed to make this incredible piece, including tufting machines (AK-V's and AK Duos), premium primary grade grey tufting cloth, 100% acrylic rug yarn, rug carvers, and much more!

Invest in high-quality rug wool. This is the best material for tufting a floor rug. Our wool is 100% natural and sourced from New Zealand. It is moisture-wicking, flame-retardant, insulating (keeping your feet cozy during the winter), and resistant to odors.
Our 100% acrylic rug yarn has quickly gained popularity as it is more affordable than wool while still providing excellent sturdiness. Fibers designed specifically for rug making resist sagging and squishing, making it easier to carve intricate details into your rugs.
Our cotton blend tufting yarn (80% cotton, 20% acrylic)features a softer fiber that creates a squishy and plush rug, adding luxurious comfort to your creations. Available in nearly 90 spectacular shades, this yarn is perfect for tufting projects intended for wall art or bath mats.
EFFY Carries Swatch Cards for all our yarns. Sometimes colours can vary depending on the screen you are viewing a photo from. While we try to have our product photos as accurate as possible, we always suggest a swatch card to ensure you choose the perfect colours for your rugs!
