🧶 EFFY Tufting Workshop – Abbreviated Beginner Session

Want to try rug tufting without committing to the full course? This shorter, simplified workshop is designed as a fun “taster session” at a lower cost. Perfect if you’re curious about tufting and just want to give it a go!

This abbreviated format is available on the same Saturdays as our full courses.

Session length: Approximately 4 hours
Time slots available:
  • Morning: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Afternoon: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

We recommend completing your project in a single 4-hour session. However, you are welcome to split it into two 2-hour sessions on different Saturdays. Please email us at hello@allthingseffy.com after booking if this is your preferred option.

Please note: We are trialing this as a new workshop format. We believe 4 hours will be enough, but the session may take a little less time or a little more time. We’ll refine the schedule as more people book in.

🧵 What You'll Do

• Tuft directly onto a 50×50cm frame to create a 40×40cm rug
• Design must be simple (3–4 colors) and pre-approved before your session
• No practice piece – after a few lines of guided tufting, you’ll start your rug straight away
• No carving and no backing techniques are taught in this format
• After the workshop, your rug will be finished (backed) by us and will be ready for pickup or delivery at a later date

• Use of tufting gun and frame
• Tufting cloth (50×50cm frame with 40×40cm tufting area)
• 4 cones/cakes of acrylic yarn to choose from
• Tea & coffee provided
• Guided instruction to help you complete your rug
