Our machines are customized using higher-grade internal components than standard factory versions. We upgrade motors, scissors, and internal metal components to improve smoothness, reduce vibration, and increase lifespan.

Many tufting suppliers simply source the cheapest available version of a machine model to increase profit margins — we do not.

🪵 About the Tufting Frame

If you’re using a frame, tension is critical. Stretch your tufting fabric until it feels tight as a drum. Proper tension makes tufting easier and helps produce cleaner lines and a more professional finish.

🧶 What You’ll Still Need (Recommended)

Rug Yarn (not knitting yarn)

Rug yarn is structured specifically for tufting. Using the correct yarn helps your rug maintain density, shape, and durability.

• EFFY Rug Wool — 100% Romney New Zealand wool (use two strands)
• EFFY 100% Acrylic Rug Yarn (CA & AU) — structured fibres with a slight sheen (use two strands)
• EFFY 100% Matte Acrylic Rug Yarn — softer acrylic designed to mimic traditional knitting acrylics (use two strands)
• EFFY Cotton Blend Tufting Yarn — 80% cotton / 20% acrylic (use one strand)

Liquid Latex (Highly Recommended)

Applying the correct glue is essential to lock the fibres into place and preserve all your hard work.

We recommend carpet latex glue or pure liquid latex such as EFFY’s New Zealand-made Liquid Latex.

Liquid latex forms a flexible rubber backing that keeps rugs durable and prevents cracking or fibre degradation over time.

Additional Helpful Tools
