The AK-DUO (also known as the AK-PRO) is a highly versatile tufting machine that allows you to switch between cut pile and loop pile using the included dedicated loop-pile head. The conversion takes only a few minutes and is extremely beginner-friendly, with minimal risk of disrupting your settings.
Your machine arrives factory-set to 14 mm (0.55 in), the most popular and beginner-friendly pile height for rug tufting. If you would like your machine set to a different pile height before shipping, please email us at hello@allthingseffy.com after placing your order.
This model is also available in multiple colours: Yellow, Fluoro Red, Black, and Original Blue. If you prefer a specific colour, simply email us at hello@allthingseffy.com with your request.
Please Note: While this is a true dedicated cut and loop pile tufting gun, we still highly, highly recommend the AK-V, which can also do both loop and cut pile. We recommend the AK-V over this machine because it has a longer lifespan. The AK-DUO has a shorter lifespan due to the cogwheel mechanism — it is essentially plastic grinding on metal constantly, and inevitably, this part will need replacing at some point after two-plus years of use.
